We are pleased with the successful performances of our judokas in the prestigious international tournaments held in recent days. Achievements in the leadership of the federation and the coaching staff of the national team shortly after the change show that Azerbaijani judo is on the right track and revived.
Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Mammadali Mehdiyev (90 kg) won gold, Yashar Najafov (66 kg) won silver and Zelim Kotsoyev won silver medals at the “Big Helmet” tournament in Tel Aviv, Israel. seizures can be considered the beginning of greater success in the future.
Another promising event was the victory of our junior national team in the Open Europe tournament among juniors in Fuengirola, Spain, winning a total of 15 medals, including 5 gold. So, a new generation of champions is growing up in Azerbaijani judo. This is a very good thing, and it shows that the temporary decline in judo is over.
I congratulate our national teams, their coaches, especially the head coach Movlud Miraliyev, and wish our judokas new victories!
