Azerbaijan Judo Federation has appointed new coaches for our national team. Bronze medalist of the Beijing Olympics and Open World Championship Movlud Miraliyev will be the head coach. His assistants will be Elchin Ismayilov, Elkhan Rajabli, Shumshad Bahramov, Ilham Mammadov, and Zaur Babayev. As a veteran judoka, I like and welcome this decision. I believe that they will show determination to restore the glory of Azerbaijani judo and achieve high results.
Movlud Miraliyev has Olympic experience and he has great opportunities to contribute to the growth of our new Olympic hopes. His assistants are also well-known, experienced and skilled athletes. I would like to see another well-known figure in Azerbaijani judo, Rasul Salimov, a participant in the Sydney Olympics and a winner of world and European championships. I am confident that Rasul can further strengthen the coaching staff with his experience, talent, and athletic qualities.
In any case, it is commendable that the leadership of the Federation trusts the national team to the national team, and I think that successful results will not wait long.
Congratulations to each member of the staff once again, I wish them success!
