On December 10, a Victory Parade dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held on Freedom Square in Baku.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his wife Emine Erdogan took part in the Victory Parade.

In the Great Patriotic War – Operation Iron Fist, Azerbaijan dealt such a blow to the occupying Armenia that it is impossible for this aggressor country to recover. At the Victory Parade, Mr. President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Muzaffar Ilham Aliyev said: “Today we celebrate this holiday as a heroic nation. The victorious Army of Azerbaijan fulfilled its historical mission and defeated Armenia. The Armenian army is almost non-existent and destroyed. After that, if Armenian fascism rises again, the result will be the same. Again, Azerbaijan’s iron fist will break their backs.

The participation of the President of Turkey, a large delegation of the brotherly country, as well as an army unit in the parade was a source of pride for our people.

Turkey’s political and moral support makes every Azerbaijani proud and happy. The victory parade once again showed our unity to our peoples and to the whole world.

In his speech at the parade, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed our people as “my dear Azerbaijani brothers” and said he was very pleased to be with us on Victory Day. He prayed to God Almighty for the heroes who were martyred in the glorious struggle of Azerbaijan for 44 days and wished the veterans a speedy recovery.

In the parade, Azerbaijan demonstrated the fighting spirit of its heroic soldiers and officers and the moral and technical strength of our army. Our most modern weapons will probably frighten the enemy once again. The demonstration of the military booty gained by our army in the Great Patriotic War should be a lesson to the “politicians” of the defeated Armenia who have not yet come to their senses. Before the war, these dreamers said that their tanks would come to Baku. The tanks left by them on the battlefield were brought to Baku by the Azerbaijani soldiers as booty and shown to the whole world.

Long live the independent Republic of Azerbaijan! Long live the victorious Azerbaijani Army!
