This statement was made by President Ilham Aliyev at a meeting on the results of the first quarter of this year. The results of the quarter show that despite the negative events in the world, Azerbaijan continues to develop dynamically due to its capabilities.
We warmly welcome Mr. President’s support for entrepreneurship and the private sector at the meeting. The head of state stressed the importance of considering the issue of providing more loans to local companies and entrepreneurs by international financial institutions, including the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and other banks. The solution to this issue will stimulate the active participation of the private sector in economic processes.
As the President stressed, Azerbaijan has achieved today’s successes and realities on its own. Today, it restores and revives East Zangazur and Karabakh at its own expense. Mr. President stated that we will build these territories as a model region. Of course, the private sector and businesses will also be more actively involved in this construction process. The attention and care of the country’s leader gives a strong impetus to the activities of entrepreneurs and inspires them to work hard for the progress of our country.

On behalf of the Azerbaijan Judo Veterans Association and myself, I congratulate Mr. Rashad Nabiyev, President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), on his election as Chairman of the International Judo Federation’s New Technologies and High Productivity Commission.
The reforms carried out in ACF under the leadership of Rashad Muallim have a positive impact on the development of judo in our country. The new coaching staff of the national team is working hard to achieve the set goals, and our athletes are trying to increase their achievements.
Trusting Rashad to lead the application of new technologies in world judo is not only an expression of the value placed on his knowledge, skills, and experience but also another confirmation of the recognition of Azerbaijan as a country of sports and innovation.
Congratulations again, good luck!

Six years ago, the brave Azerbaijani army demonstrated its determination to liberate our lands from occupation, and four years later laid the foundation for the Great Victory. The recapture of strategically important Lalatapa and important territories in the direction of Talysh from the enemy made our people happy and hopeful. In the fall of 2020, our hopes came true!
I respectfully commemorate all our compatriots who died for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the defense of our state and our people, with patience to their families, health, and prosperity to war invalids and veterans!
Karabakh is Azerbaijan!

It has been 30 years since the Armenian armed forces committed a horrific massacre of Azerbaijanis in Khojaly, Karabakh, with the participation of the 366th Regiment of the former Soviet Army.
This genocide, which took place on the night of February 25-26, 1992, shows the criminal predator of Armenian fascism. The brutal killing of civilians, children and adults, is a crime against humanity and its perpetrators must be punished.
In 2020, in the 44-day Patriotic War, Azerbaijan defeated Armenia and ended the occupation of its lands. Thus, justice was restored and our martyrs and victims of the genocide were avenged.
We have won and will always live as a victorious nation.
However, we will not forget the genocide committed against our people in Khojaly and elsewhere. We believe that anyone involved in these crimes will be severely punished for their actions.
I ask God to have mercy on all our martyrs!

We are pleased with the successful performances of our judokas in the prestigious international tournaments held in recent days. Achievements in the leadership of the federation and the coaching staff of the national team shortly after the change show that Azerbaijani judo is on the right track and revived.
Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Mammadali Mehdiyev (90 kg) won gold, Yashar Najafov (66 kg) won silver and Zelim Kotsoyev won silver medals at the “Big Helmet” tournament in Tel Aviv, Israel. seizures can be considered the beginning of greater success in the future.
Another promising event was the victory of our junior national team in the Open Europe tournament among juniors in Fuengirola, Spain, winning a total of 15 medals, including 5 gold. So, a new generation of champions is growing up in Azerbaijani judo. This is a very good thing, and it shows that the temporary decline in judo is over.
I congratulate our national teams, their coaches, especially the head coach Movlud Miraliyev, and wish our judokas new victories!
